Informed Consent For Blood and Blood Products
In Saskatchewan, the duration of consent for the purpose of transfusion is for either one admission or, if a patient suffers from a chronic condition, for one course of treatment within 12 months, so long as the patient’s condition or medical knowledge in general about the condition has not significantly changed. (Approved by the Senior Medical Officer Committee on May 11, 2011.)
