Fibrinogen Concentrates
Fibrinogen concentrate (FC) is concentrated fibrinogen derived from pooled human plasma which is available as a lyophilized powder requiring reconstitution before administration. Fibrinogen concentrates have a superior safety profile as a pathogen inactivated product, and logistical advantages with respect to dosing, storage and administration. There are two FC products currently available in Canada: RiaSTAP (CSL Behring) and Fibryga (Octapharma).
